Cross Health Ministries
has medical equipment to loan or give away. This includes wheelchairs, shower
chairs, potty chairs, walkers, canes and beds. This non-profit ministry is run
solely on donations by Yewell and Yolanda Cox, UUMC members. Contact
Yewell at 382-3842.
Our Veterans
San Antonio has one of the finest military hospitals for treating ill and
wounded veterans. These veterans are from all over the United States sent here
for treatment. Many have no relatives here with them for their extended
treatment. We may be able to help them feel more at home be recognizing them,
especially on holidays during the year. One way might be to add them to our
holiday card list. We could start with Christmas and include them on Easter,
Thanksgiving, Veteran’s Day, July 4th, etc. I know they would
appreciate it.
